Mindful Piano is an established piano studio (just coming into its 9th year of operation) in Ely, run by Brian Partridge PMEPTA. I am a local piano teacher in Ely and am a Professional Member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA), the governing body for piano teachers. Lessons are face to face in my Piano Studio in Ely. During COVID I gained experience of delivering online lessons via the Zoom platform and this remains an option with recordings of playing being reviewed in advance, when provided by students.
I am passionate about teaching piano and I would invite you to view these web pages to find out about my approach and how I aim to make learning the piano enjoyable and relaxing. I am to make the piano studio an oasis of calm and a place to get away from the stresses of the day and just to enjoy making music.
If you wish to book a free one hour consultation please go to the contact page and give me a call or submit the contact form. There is no obligation after the consultation but I hope you will be enthused enough to start lessons and engage on a journey of discovery. I look forward to hearing from you.
The cost of lessons is £40 per hour with most lessons being for 30 minutes weekly – I teach piano at my studio in Ely on Mondays (all day including after school and evenings) and Tuesdays (all day and after school but not evening) only.
I try to ensure that when you are learning the piano you have fun and enjoyment whilst you are doing so, relax and have pleasure whilst playing whilst developing a mindful approach.
A Risk Assessment was prepared for COVID and consulted with parents and students, Mindful Piano Risk Assessment 12 05 21 PDF Mindful Piano Risk Assessment PDF3 to enable – precautions are still taken now including wiping down the piano between lessons.

Not long ago, I completed a course with the Curious Piano Teachers and am now a certified Curious Piano Teacher:

Hi Peter – thanks for making contact – I’ll email you directly with some suggested dates for a free consultation.

Hi Brian, my partner would like to be able to ‘tinkle the ivories’ nothing crazy special but that sounds good. If I were to buy him 10 hours of lessons as a Christmas present what sort of cost and startdate for lessons (he would need weekends because of work) would there be?
Kind regards,
Bryony

Hi Brian
I am interested in studying piano as escapism from work. I saw that you were offering a fairly unique approach in the local area so it would be great if you could let me know of any available timeslots to see if I can fit in a few lessons.
Hope you can help
Kind regards

Would love to be taught how to play piano
I am an accomplished professional singer songwriter and think I would be a fair piano player in the right hands as I have dedication and a feel for it.
Kind regards
